The Nyika-Vwaza (UK) Trust, who work in North Malawi and focus on environment and wildlife conservation in the Nyika National Park and Vwaza Marsh Wildlife Reserve, have released their Autumn 2022 newsletter.
This newsletter includes news of the upcoming NVT Fundraiser Event to take place on Tuesday 15 November, including more background information on guest speaker Dr Leejiah Dorward, a conservation scientist from the university of Bangor Wales.
Also in this newsletter is a report of the progress of their Environmental Education program with partners Lilongwe Wildlife Trust with some stats on their recess success. So far, the programme has engaged 14,061 children across 58 schools, trained 320 teachers on lesson delivery, and sensitised and trained 1570 community members on human-wildlife conflict and management.
Finally, plenty of other research and reports are included with special thanks for recent donations and fundraisers.
