Land and Lake Safaris, one of Malawi’s well established tour operators offering some of the best experiences in the country, released their March newsletter earlier this month and began by shining a light on International Women’s Day.
The Land & Lake women bring to life some of the most essential roles in the company. From Amelia, who heads up the Sales & Marketing Team, Jessie & Memory, who are the Senior Tours Designers and the front of Land & Lake Safaris, Madalitso who is studying at the Malawi Tourism Institute and undertaking her internship with the company, and finally Diana – the mother of the group, who is the manager of the Land & Lake Cafe. Without these women, Land & Lake would not be what it is today!
The popularity of all-female tours is growing across the globe. Would you like to see Land & Lake Safaris dedicate annual Scheduled Tours to just women in the future? What other tours would you like to see advertised and how can they create excursions that better suit you and your guests? Please fill out the feedback form here to help them grow and refine their available services!
Travel into Malawi is once again picking up speed and the Land & Lake team have provided us with an update on the entry & Exit requirements:
Malawi now has an online E-Visa Process and it is now needed before travel. Guests should apply for their e-visa no later than 3 weeks before arrival to ensure it gets approved. You can arrange your visas here. Land & Lake are there to help with this process as it has had it’s challenges. At time of writing, Malawi still requires a negative PCR Test on arrival no older than 72hrs and proof of vaccination against Covid-19. Malawi also still requires a negative PCR test for departure – Even if the country you are traveling to does not require it. These rules many change at any moment and the latest announcements will be made on our Travel Advice page.
If you tend to overpack for a holiday – Here’s maybe a couple of tips and at least the start of making your traveling across the globe an easier, lighter and more carefree one! Click here to view Amelia’s blog.
Good luck, fellow over-packer!
