Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew said Copenhagen would be the airline’s 21st destination in Europe.
“Copenhagen will become a crucial gateway for Ethiopian Airlines in northern Europe and southern Scandinavia,” Tasew added.
Thomas Woldbye, CEO of Copenhagen Airport, said: “The airport in Addis Ababa has become one of Africa’s most important hubs, with onward connections to more than 60 different cities in Africa, thus this new route will be an amazing gateway to the whole continent for Copenhagen.”
The addition of Copenhagen to the Ethiopian Airlines’ list of destinations opens up Malawi to new visitors who would previously have had to take multiple connecting flights to reach the Warm Heart of Africa.
