Lake of Stars heads for the City lights to celebrate 10th Anniversary

Organisers of Lake of Stars have announced that the Lake of Stars Project will celebrate its 10 Year Anniversary by hosting a brand new city-based festival and arts conference in Lilongwe, Malawi from 27 to 28 September 2013. Tickets will be on sale in July, with the first acts being confirmed as “The Very Best”, “George the Poet” and “Auntie Flo”.

The Malawi Government has submitted to UNESCO Paris headquarters the dossier for Mount Mulanje to be considered as a World Heritage Site cultural landscape. Any move to list Mulanje as a World Heritage Site is sure to contribute to improved tourism for the area, raising awareness of both this natural wonder and the country as whole.
