Activities

A number of old colonial clubs offer a range of sporting facilities. They are in the main towns and at some of the places of interest, including the large agricultural estates.
Golf courses have swarms of youngsters who will caddy and show you round the course. They also level off the ‘greens’ of sand for putting.
Most clubs have tennis courts though the surfaces may be poor. Swimming pools and squash courts are also sometimes available.
The clubhouses are the check-in points to arrange and pay for the facilities. These dark, cool buildings often have snooker tables, dart boards and well-stocked bars.
Equipment may be available for hire but keen sportspeople will prefer to bring their own.
