The lodge site was chosen because it was the most beautiful, unspoilt, and remote spots on Lake Malawi. It has been developed as symapthetically as possible
with the local environment and surrounding community. Six chalets have been constructed using indigenous skill and material, but maintaining luxury standards expected by tourists fr
om western countries. Trees, rock outcrops and the lie of the land have all been incorporated into the structures. All chalets are set back from the lakeshore - making them invisible from the lake. The chalets are far enough apart, to give a sense of total privacy, but not isolation.
Activities include: spectacular walking (with porters) safaris from the Lake into the interior; tracking game; visiting the villages and projects; canoe safaris through the gorges of the Messenge river; possibility of joining and working on the wildlife surveys; relaxing on the secluded private beaches; sailing; swimming and fantastic snorkelling.
