Ngala Beach Lodge is situated on the Central/Northern Lakeshore with magnificent views of both, lake and mountains, approximately 3 hours drive or a 50min flight from Lilongwe.

The lodge has recently changed hands and has, over the past year undergone a major refurbishment including the addition of new furniture, bedding and linen, vsat internet system with wireless hotspots, a new infinity pool and 26ft cabin cruiser. All internal staff members have undergone an extensive training programme to bring them up to international standards.

Attractions and activities include the following:

Hobie cat sailing, paddle skis, swimming in lake or pool, snorkelling, beach volleyball, mountain bike hire, cultural village tours, birdwatching (about 180 species identified and listed), cruises to Unaka Lagoon (birds, hippos and crocs) or to hot springs or sunset cruise. Beach barbecues with traditional dancing (arranged for larger groups). Golf, squash, tennis, horse riding, scuba diving, walks to waterfalls, through forest or through Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve.
